HOW IT WORKS & FAQ

More About What We Do

HOW IT WORKS

1. Donors give to the foundation. These funds are known as "the principle."
2. Foundation funds are invested in the stock and bond market.
3. Each year, the Foundation pays out 5.5% from these investments. These are given to student groups throughout La Grande School District such as sports teams, activities and clubs, teacher projects, student scholarships, etc.
4. Any additional gains from the stock market are reinvested in order to continue growing the principle.
5. In this fashion, funds donated to the foundation continue to impact student lives year after year.
